In addition to standard text and web page translation, Bing Translator includes several additional features:
Four Bilingual Viewer layouts are available:
Side by side
Top and bottom
Original with hover translation
Translation with hover original
Website owners can add a translation widget to their website for translating it into other languages supported by Bing Translator; this is done by inserting an HTML code snippet on the web page
Any-to-Any language translation pairs[2]
Automatically detect the language of the text or website being translated[2]
Ability to easily reverse the translation direction[2]
The user can play back a spoken version of the translation through text-to-speech (not supported in every language)

Students can easily translate texts (like history texts, etc.) for easier understanding. It can also help students who converse with their classmates who speak in a different language (e.g. you have a japanese classmate, or a chinese classmate). Students can also use this online app in case you forgot a word's/phrase's translation. In addition, students can easily know what language it is with Bing Translator's Detect Language feature.
Although it may not help much in our everyday tasks, it can greatly help at times, especially when we need a translator. It translates texts fast unlike other translators so it has some edge above the others. We can evaluate this as a "quite useful" online application.
